Indications

Cuprum is traditionally associated, above all, with cramp and spasm — of both the smooth and the striped (voluntary) musculature. It is linked with spasmodic, convulsive conditions such as whooping cough (pertussis), bronchial asthma, acute gastroenteritis, epilepsy and cramps of the calves (sural spasms), and is valued as a spasmolytic (cramp-relieving) agent. Copper is regarded as having a special action on the bronchial tubes and on the gastro-intestinal canal. It is also connected with signs of paralysis accompanied by spasmodic rigidity.

About the remedy

Cuprum Injeel is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel's antihomotoxic Injeel range, containing potentised Cuprum metallicum (metallic copper). A classic homeopathic remedy, copper's sphere of action centres on the neuromuscular system, where it is a pre-eminent remedy for cramp and spasm, with a special affinity for the bronchi and the gastro-intestinal tract.

Composition

Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Cuprum metallicum D12, D30, D200 — 0.367 ml each.

Among the preparations stocked here, Cuprum metallicum features in Aesculus Compositum. In antispasmodic therapy it is closely related to Spascupreel, and in injection therapy it may be combined with Engystol N.

Suggested use

Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed.
