Biologische Heilmittel Heel GmbG is founded in Berlin, Germany in 1936 by Dr Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg. Reckeweg is a medical doctor and pioneer: He is never satisfied with existing therapies, but is always looking for something better to treat his patients. His vision: "One day I will build the bridge between homeopathy and conventional medicine." He names the company HEEL as an acronym for Herba Est Ex Luce - the medicinal plant draws its power from the sunlight.
Heel manufactures almost all its products in Germany, in accordance with the highest international pharmaceutical standards. Our laboratories and manufacturing facilities are certified by globally recognized institutions such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and adhere to validated standards like Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Heel combination medicines are homeopathically manufactured using the latest in modern technology and manufacturing methods. The source materials that form the basis of our medicines are carefully selected from nature and quality controlled before entering the manufacturing process. These natural ingredients are used to make mother tinctures which are diluted.
The natural ingredients in low dilution are combined to form a wide range of combination medicines to treat individual diseases. These are available in pharmaceutical forms such as tablets, drops, ointments, gels, sprays, or injection solutions. Heel manufactures around 90 million ampoules every year, making the company the market leader in this segment.

1948 - Homotoxicology
In 1948 Dr Reckeweg developed the therapeutic concept of Homotoxicology. The goal of Homotoxicology is to use the body's own ability to regulate itself. Many concept aspects can be validated today by current cutting-edge science.
