Where to Buy Heel and Reckeweg Homeopathic Products

Educational information on traditional homeopathic use only. Not medical advice.

"Heel products", "Heel homeopathic", "where to buy Heel homeopathic products": these are some of the most common searches we see, and they usually come from people who already know a name (Traumeel, say, or a Reckeweg R number) and simply want to find a reliable place to order it. This guide explains what Heel and Dr Reckeweg are, how their ranges are organised, and how to find your way around the United Remedies shop.

Heel and Reckeweg: a short background

Heel is a German maker of combination homeopathic medicines. Dr Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg's work on "homotoxicology" shaped the way many of these combination products were designed; our articles on Heel and Dr Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg and Reckeweg's model of disease tell the story in more detail. Dr Reckeweg & Co. is a separate German company that makes the numbered R series of drops. The two names are often mentioned together because of that shared history, but they are different brands with different products.

How the Heel range is organised

Heel products come in several forms, and it helps to know the vocabulary before you search:

  • Tablets and drops for taking by mouth, the most familiar forms for home use.
  • Gels and ointments for applying to the skin.
  • Ampoules (liquid for drinking or, in trained hands, other methods of use). The label notes that other methods of use, including injection, are for trained individuals such as practitioners.
  • Compositums and Homaccords, Heel's names for different kinds of combination formulas. Our guide to the Heel Homaccords and the article on how antihomotoxic formulas are built explain the difference.
  • Injeels, single-remedy ampoules, found in the Injeel collections.

How the Reckeweg range is organised

The Dr Reckeweg R series is simpler: each remedy has an R number, most are drops in 50 ml or 30 ml bottles, and each product page lists the manufacturer's indications, directions and ingredients. We have collected the whole range in one place in our Dr Reckeweg R1 to R89 remedy list. Popular numbers people ask us about include R14, R79, R87 and R183, and we have a guide to each: R14, R79, R87 and R183. Reckeweg also makes combination tissue salts, covered in our tissue salts article.

What to check before you order

  1. The exact product name and number. Heel and Reckeweg names are similar to each other and to products from other brands. Check you are looking at the right one, for example Traumeel S versus another brand's arnica gel.
  2. The form and pack size. Tablets, drops, gel and ointment each have their own page or variant, with several sizes. Choose the variant you need before adding to the basket.
  3. The ingredients and directions on the page. They come from the manufacturer's label. Read them, especially if you have allergies. For example, the Traumeel tablets page lists hypersensitivity to plants of the daisy (Compositae) family as a contraindication.
  4. Discontinued or replacement items. Where an original has been discontinued, the page says so, as with the R87 Eighty Seven Combi and the R79 Heart Drops.
  5. Whether the product suits your situation. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, on prescribed medicines, or buying for a child, ask a practitioner first.

Buying for practices and larger quantities

Several Heel products, such as Traumeel gel, tablets and drops, have multi-pack variants on the product page for practitioners and households who use them regularly. Check the variant list on each page. If you cannot see the pack you need, message us.

What is Heel best known for?

For most customers the answer is Traumeel, but Heel makes a wide range of combination products in tablet, drop, gel, ointment and ampoule form.
