Indications

Carbo vegetabilis is traditionally associated with states of collapse and circulatory failure — for example following apoplexia cerebri — with an icy-cold skin and cold hands and feet, and with a marked craving for fresh, moving air (the desire to have a window opened). In the respiratory sphere it is linked with dyspnoea, asthma and emphysema. In the digestive sphere it is connected with a tumid, distended abdomen and much flatulence (meteorism), with intolerance of alcohol and an aversion to fatty food and milk, and with aphthous inflammation of the mouth and tongue (stomatitis and glossitis aphthosa). Throughout, its picture is one of sluggish, failing vitality with venous congestion and a want of oxygen.

About the remedy

Carbo vegetabilis-Injeel is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel's antihomotoxic Injeel range, containing potentised Carbo vegetabilis (vegetable, or wood, charcoal). A long-established homeopathic remedy, it is traditionally reserved for states of exhaustion and near-collapse with coldness, venous stasis and air-hunger, where the body's vital forces are failing.

Composition

Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Carbo vegetabilis D12, D30, D200 — 0.367 ml each.

Suggested use

Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed.
