Albicansan Drops, Capsules, Ointment or Suppositories?

Educational information on traditional homeopathic use only. Not medical advice.

Albicansan® is Sanum's remedy made from Candida albicans. It comes in four forms we stock, each at a different dilution. Here is how the forms differ and how people choose between them.

The four forms at a glance

Form Dilution Usual label directions
Drops 10ml 5D 5 drops once or twice daily before meals
Capsules (20) 4D 1 capsule once or twice daily
Ointment 30g 3D Apply to the area once or twice daily

All forms are available on one page: choose the form from the options on the Albicansan product page.

Drops (5D)

The drops are the most common choice and are often known to be the usual starting point in Sanum therapy. They are taken by mouth, are easy to adjust, and are also sold as Albicansan D5 Tropfen. A 10ml bottle usually lasts several weeks at label doses.

Capsules (4D)

A lower dilution than the drops, for people who prefer not to take drops or who are following a protocol that specifies capsules. Each pack has 20 capsules.

Ointment (3D)

For external use on the skin, in a 30g tube. It is traditionally used where fungal skin or nail complaints are present, and is applied once or twice a day to the affected area as directed.

Suppositories (3D)

A pack of 10, traditionally used for vaginal or rectal application. The usual label dose is one daily.

Can the forms be combined?

Practitioners sometimes use more than one form, for example drops by mouth with an ointment for the skin. Ask yours which is right for you, and read the leaflet in each pack.

What is Albicansan traditionally used for?

In Sanum therapy, Albicansan is often known to be used as an accompanying remedy where yeast overgrowth is a concern, for example in the gut, on mucous membranes or on the skin. It is not a replacement for medical treatment. Our article Candida Support: Homeopathic Options and When to See a Doctor explains where it fits.

Cautions

Not suitable for children under 12, in pregnancy or breastfeeding, with autoimmune conditions or yeast hypersensitivity. See a doctor for suspected infections.
