Indications

Nervus opticus suis is traditionally associated with disorders of the optic nerve. It is linked with optic-nerve atrophy (atrophia nervi optici), whether of post-luetic or toxic origin, and with defective or diminished vision (dysopia). It is further connected with scintillating scotoma — an area of lost or depressed vision within the visual field, surrounded by an area of less depressed or of normal vision — and with migraine. In injection practice it is drawn upon in degenerative and impregnation-phase eye conditions, where it is used alongside other ocular suis-organ preparations to support the visual pathway.

About the remedy

Nervus opticus suis-Injeel is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel's antihomotoxic Injeel range, prepared from potentised porcine optic-nerve tissue (nervus opticus, the optic nerve). Suis-organ preparations follow the principle that a potentised, healthy animal organ can support the corresponding human organ or tissue; here the aim is to support the function and regeneration of the optic nerve.

Composition

Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Nervus opticus suis D10, D30, D200 — 0.367 ml each.

Part of the Heel range — what to use it with

Among the preparations stocked here it is used in eye therapy together with Retina suis-Injeel and Cerebrum compositum, with which it is combined in the treatment of optic-nerve and retinal degeneration.

Suggested use

Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed.
