Description
Indications
Oculus totalis suis is traditionally associated with eye diseases of the impregnation and degeneration type. It is linked with glaucoma and cataract, and with chronic conjunctivitis and scleritis (inflammation of the sclera). It is further connected with chronic granulation of the eye; the compendium adds a note of caution where tuberculosis is present. As a whole-eye suis-organ preparation it is drawn upon in chronic and degenerative ocular conditions to support the tissues of the eye.
About the remedy
Oculus Totalis Suis Injeel is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel's antihomotoxic Injeel range, prepared from potentised porcine whole-eye tissue (oculus totalis, the entire eye). Following the suis-organ principle, a potentised healthy animal organ is used to support the corresponding human organ; here the preparation is directed at the tissues of the eye as a whole.
Composition
Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Oculus totalis suis D10, D30, D200 — 0.367 ml each.
(Heel also produces a stronger version, Oculus Totalis Suis Injeel forte: D8, D12, D30, D200.)
Part of the Heel range — what to use it with
Among the preparations stocked here it is used in eye therapy alongside Retina suis-Injeel; for cataract and related degenerative eye conditions the compendium's protocols also draw on Galium-Heel, Oculoheel and Lymphomyosot, with which it may be combined.
Suggested use
Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed.
