Indications
Citric acid is the first member of the citric acid cycle and is traditionally associated with respiratory difficulties that worsen in the warmth, so that the patient constantly desires fresh air. It is linked with premature ageing and with arteriosclerosis, and particularly with cerebral sclerosis. Through its part in the regulation of calcium metabolism — by way of parathormone and calcitonin — it is connected with disturbances of that metabolism, and is indicated in lymphatic constitutions marked by calcium deficiency. It is further associated with an intolerance of alcohol and of sugar, and with children who reject fruit and vegetables. The characteristic temperament is one of a constantly pleasant mood, making grandiose plans yet lacking the motivation to carry them out.
About the remedy
Acidum citricum-Injeel is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel's antihomotoxic Injeel range, containing potentised Acidum citricum (citric acid). Citric acid heads the citric acid cycle (Krebs cycle), the central pathway of cellular energy production and biological oxidation. In the antihomotoxic system it is used as a catalyst to support the enzyme steps of cellular energy metabolism and the redox systems.
Composition
Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Acidum citricum D10, D30, D200 — 0.367 ml each.

Suggested use
Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed. As with all catalyst preparations, it is helpful to drink plenty of fluids during the first three days, to rest from strenuous activity, and to follow a light, low-toxin diet; correct timing is important.
