Indications

Fucus vesiculosus is traditionally associated with scrofulous glandular swelling and with goitre (struma), and thereby with disorders of the thyroid gland. As a natural marine source of iodine it is also linked with adiposis (obesity) and sluggish metabolism, and with arteriosclerosis. It is a constituent of the Heel thyroid preparations, reflecting its long-standing connection with both under- and over-activity of the thyroid.

About the remedy

Fucus vesiculosus-Injeel is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel’s antihomotoxic Injeel range, containing potentised Fucus vesiculosus (bladderwrack), a brown seaweed of the Fucaceae family that grows on the rocky shores of the North Atlantic. Rich in natural iodine, bladderwrack has a long traditional standing in the treatment of glandular swelling, goitre and disorders of metabolism, and in homeopathy its sphere of action centres on the thyroid gland.

Composition

Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Fucus vesiculosus D12, D30, D200 — 0.367 ml each.

Contraindications

In cases of thyroid disorders with reduced iodine tolerance, use only on the advice of a physician.

Suggested use

Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed.
