Description

Indications

Strophanthus is traditionally associated with the heart and circulation. It is linked with cardiac and circulatory decompensation (failing pump function) and with a marked, forceful pulsation felt throughout the body — the heartbeat seeming to reach up into the neck — as well as with tachycardia (a rapid heart rate).

About the remedy

Strophanthus-Injeel is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel's antihomotoxic Injeel range, containing potentised Strophanthus (Strophanthus kombé), an African woody climbing plant of the dogbane family (Apocynaceae) whose seeds are the traditional source of cardioactive glycosides. In homeopathy its sphere of action centres on the heart and circulation.

Composition

Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Strophanthus D12, D30, D200 — 0.367 ml each.

Part of the Heel range — what to use it with

Strophanthus and its cardiac glycosides feature in the Heel heart preparations Cor compositum and Strophanthus compositum, both stocked here.

Suggested use

Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed.
