Indications

Lachesis is traditionally associated with left-sided complaints and with septic, congestive states. It is linked with an inattention to a worsening condition, and with disorders made worse by the warmth of the sun. Characteristic mental features are talkativeness, distrust and a belief that one is being poisoned, and it is connected with religious mania. Physically it is associated with hot flushes — including climacteric hot flushes — with an intolerance of anything tight, so that clothing feels too constricting, and with a tongue that trembles when protruded and a yellowish face permeated with red blood-vessels. It is further linked with a sensation of globus, angina tonsillaris and bluish-red swelling, with left-sided ovarian pains, with septic conditions and burning bluish-red ulcerations, and with thyrotoxicosis.

About the remedy

Lachesis Injeel S is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel's antihomotoxic Injeel range, containing potentised Lachesis mutus, the venom of the South American bushmaster snake. A well-known homeopathic polychrest, it is traditionally regarded as a leading remedy for left-sided, congestive and septic conditions and for climacteric complaints.

Composition

Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Lachesis mutus D15, D30, D200, D1000 — 0.275 ml each.

Part of the Heel range — what to use it with

Among the preparations stocked here, Lachesis mutus features in Klimakt-Heel, Gripp-Heel, Ypsiloheel, Carbo compositum, Ceanothus-Homaccord, Duodenoheel, Echinacea compositum, Mercurius-Heel, Metro-Adnex-Injeel, Momordica compositum, Mucosa compositum and Ovarium compositum. For left-sided and climacteric complaints it is often used alongside Klimakt-Heel.

Suggested use

Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed.
