Description
Indications
Phytolacca is traditionally associated with inflammation of the lymphoid (Waldeyer’s) tonsillar ring, giving a tonsillitis in which the ring appears inflamed, dark red and fiery, and it is linked with focal and glandular infections — parotitis, glandular swelling and furunculosis. It is closely connected with disorders of the female breast, particularly mastitis and a breast that feels hard as a stone, and it has traditionally been used to promote milk secretion. In the musculoskeletal sphere it is associated with acute articular rheumatism, polyarthritis, muscular rheumatism and sciatic neuralgia, and, in the throat, with a fiery-red pharynx.
About the remedy
Phytolacca Injeel forte S is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel’s antihomotoxic Injeel range, containing potentised Phytolacca americana (pokeweed), a perennial herb of the pokeweed family (Phytolaccaceae). In homeopathy it is a long-established remedy for the throat, the lymphatic glands and the breast, used to support the body in inflammatory and glandular complaints. The "forte" version is a stronger preparation that adds a lower D4 potency.
Composition
Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Phytolacca americana D4, D12, D30, D200 — 0.275 ml each.
Part of the Heel range — what to use it with
Among the preparations stocked here, Phytolacca americana features in Angin-Heel, Echinacea Compositum and Mercurius-Heel, all used in inflammatory throat and tonsillar complaints.
Suggested use
Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed.
