Educational information on traditional homeopathic use only. Not medical advice.
Sanum-Kehlbeck, based in Hoya, Germany, makes isopathic remedies: homeopathic preparations that come from microorganisms such as yeasts and moulds. Their approach builds on the work of Günther Enderlein. If you are new to Sanum, here is the short version, plus the remedies most people meet first.

What is isopathy?
Homeopathy usually treats "like with like" using a substance that would cause similar symptoms. Isopathy goes one step further: the remedy is prepared from the very organism or material associated with the problem, diluted and potentised. Sanum's remedies are made from microorganisms such as Candida albicans, Mucor racemosus and Aspergillus niger.
Who was Günther Enderlein?
Enderlein was a German biologist who, in the early 20th century, proposed that microorganisms are pleomorphic: they change form depending on conditions in the body, sometimes living in harmony with us and sometimes not. Sanum remedies are made to fit within that idea. Mainstream science does not accept pleomorphism, so please treat this as the tradition behind the products, not established medical fact.
What does D3, D4, D5 mean?
The D number is the decimal dilution: D5 is one part in 100,000, D4 is one part in 10,000 and D3 is one part in 1,000. Lower numbers (D3, D4) are used in many ointments, suppositories and capsules, while drops are commonly D5 or higher. Please see the label or leaflet for exact directions.

Where to start
Most people start with a practitioner's advice, because Sanum remedies are traditionally used as part of a wider programme and the order in which they are taken often matters. If you are experienced and have a protocol, a pack such as Albicansan + Sankombi Drops Duo saves buying separately. Our books and protocols collection includes Sanum reference books.
