Description
Indications
Arnica is traditionally associated with the stimulation of wound healing and with recovery from mechanical injury of every kind — fractures, dislocations, contusions, sprains and haematomas (bruising) — as well as the after-effects of falls, blows, surgery, dental work and physical over-exertion, making it a classic choice for sports and post-operative recovery. It is also linked with concussion and the lingering effects of head injury, with Sudeck's atrophy (persistent regional pain following trauma), and with a deep, bruised soreness of the muscles that worsens on touch and movement. In the circulatory sphere it is connected with myocardial weakness and apoplexia cerebri (cerebral haemorrhage), and with neuralgia and myalgia. It is further associated with septic, feverish states — marked by restlessness, a constant need to change position, exhaustion that sets in with pain, and foetor ex ore (offensive breath) — and, among skin complaints, with neurodermatitis and marked reddening of the skin.
About the remedy
Arnica-Injeel S is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel's antihomotoxic Injeel range, containing potentised Arnica montana (mountain arnica), a flowering alpine herb of the daisy family (Compositae). One of homeopathy's best-known remedies, Arnica is regarded as the pre-eminent “injury” remedy — traditionally the first choice after any blunt trauma, strain or shock to the tissues — used to support the body's own repair of soft-tissue and vascular injury.
Composition
Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Arnica montana D12, D30, D200 — 0.367 ml each.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to plants of the Compositae (daisy) family.
Part of the Heel range — what to use it with
Arnica montana is one of the most widely used constituents across the Heel range. Among the preparations stocked here it features in Traumeel S, Zeel T, Aesculus compositum, Cor compositum, Cerebrum compositum, Echinacea compositum, Carbo compositum, Rheuma-Heel, Aurumheel N, Barijodeel and Rauwolfia compositum. In injection therapy it is often paired with Traumeel S and the single remedy Carbo vegetabilis-Injeel for trauma, shock and the after-effects of injuries.
Suggested use
Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed.
