Description
Indications
Echinacea is traditionally associated with strengthening the body’s mesenchymal (non-specific) defences and with inflammation of every kind and location, together with septic processes. It is linked with the activation of both the histogenous and haematogenous defences in inflammatory conditions and general infections, and is described as having a hyaluronidase-inhibiting, anti-inflammatory action. Long known as an antiseptic in folk medicine, in homeopathy it is connected with any type of septic process and with localised, already-established inflammatory (reaction) phases marked by redness, swelling, heat and pain — as in furuncles, carbuncles, angina tonsillaris and sinusitis, and in the eruptive fevers such as measles and scarlet fever. In the ophthalmic sphere it is associated with conjunctivitis, with eye pain on reading and with lachrymal flow in the fresh air.
About the remedy
Echinacea-Injeel is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel’s antihomotoxic Injeel range, containing potentised Echinacea angustifolia (narrow-leaved coneflower), a flowering North American herb of the daisy family (Compositae). Long valued in traditional and folk medicine as an antiseptic and defence-stimulating plant, in homeopathy it is regarded as a principal remedy for reinforcing the body’s own defences and supporting its response to inflammatory and septic processes.
Composition
Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Echinacea angustifolia D12, D30, D200 — 0.367 ml each.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to plants of the Compositae (daisy) family.
Part of the Heel range — what to use it with
Echinacea angustifolia features in a number of preparations stocked here, including Echinacea compositum, Traumeel S, Galium-Heel, Tonsilla compositum, Aesculus compositum, Mercurius-Heel S and the eye drops Oculoheel. In injection therapy it is often combined with Traumeel S and Echinacea compositum for inflammatory and septic conditions.
Suggested use
Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed.
