Indications

Herpes zoster nosode is traditionally associated with herpes zoster (shingles). In a fresh eruption the standard Injeel may be applied; at the full development of the zoster vesicles — about 10–14 days after the illness begins — the stronger Herpes zoster-Nosode-Injeel forte is used first, with a transfer back to the standard Injeel later in the course of treatment. The remedy is further linked with postherpetic neuralgia, which is frequently very resistant to therapy, and with other diseases resembling herpes or zoster.

About the remedy

Herpes Zoster Nosode Injeel is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel's antihomotoxic Injeel range. It is a nosode — prepared from a potentised, inactivated disease-related source (dead herpes zoster virus material) — used according to the isopathic principle, whereby a highly diluted, potentised form of the disease agent is given to address disorders connected with that same agent.

Composition

Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Herpes zoster nosode D12, D30, D200 — 0.367 ml each.

Part of the Heel range — what to use it with

In the management of herpes zoster this nosode is used alongside other stocked Heel preparations, chiefly Ranunculus-Homaccord and Mezereum-Homaccord with Engystol N, Traumeel S (ointment applied once small blisters have formed), and Cutis compositum for frequent relapses and after-treatment.

Suggested use

Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed.
