Belladonna is prepared from deadly nightshade, Atropa belladonna, a well-known European plant of the Solanaceae family. The whole flowering plant provides the starting material, which undergoes repeated homeopathic dilution and succussion to reach the 30c potency - a 1:100 dilution performed thirty times. The remedy is supplied as quick-dissolving tablets in Weleda's glass bottle of 125 on a lactose and sucrose base. Traditionally, homeopaths have associated Belladonna with sudden, intense states marked by heat, redness and throbbing sensations.

Directions: Adults: 2 tablets. Children: 1 tablet. To be sucked or chewed. Unless otherwise directed, take 1 dose every 2 hours for the first 6 doses, then 1 dose when required, reducing frequency as symptoms improve.
