Aconite is prepared from monkshood, Aconitum napellus, a striking blue-flowered European plant also known as wolfsbane, whose whole flowering plant provides the homeopathic mother tincture. Prepared to pharmaceutical standards, this is diluted and succussed to a 30c potency - a 1:100 dilution repeated thirty times. Weleda supplies the remedy as soft, readily dissolved tablets in its glass bottle of 125 on a lactose and sucrose base. Within the homeopathic first-aid tradition, Aconite is characteristically associated with sudden, abrupt onset following exposure to cold or a shock, often accompanied by restlessness and unease.

Directions: Adults: 2 tablets. Children: 1 tablet. To be sucked or chewed. Unless otherwise directed, take 1 dose every 2 hours for the first 6 doses, then 1 dose when required, reducing frequency as symptoms improve.
