What Albicansan is
Albicansan is prepared from Candida albicans, the yeast that lives naturally in the gut and on the skin. It is often known to be used where yeast overgrowth is a concern. It is also made as capsules, ointment and suppositories: see which form to choose.
What Sankombi is
Sankombi combines Sanum's two mould remedies, Mucokehl (Mucor racemosus) and Nigersan (Aspergillus niger), in one bottle. It is registered as a homeopathic medicine for use as an accompanying remedy in long-standing conditions. See What Is Sankombi?
Why are they paired?
In Sanum therapy, practitioners think in terms of the whole terrain rather than one organism. Yeasts and moulds are seen as different parts of the picture, so a yeast remedy and a mould remedy are often known to be used side by side. Customers who have followed a practitioner's protocol often reorder both together, which is why we offer them as a pack.
Which should I buy first?
- You have a practitioner's protocol: buy what it names.
- Yeast is the concern: Albicansan is the one named after the organism.
- You want both for a programme: the pack is 5% cheaper than two separate bottles.
- Unsure: ask a practitioner. Our beginner's guide explains the basics.
Cautions
Neither is suitable for children under 12, in pregnancy or breastfeeding, with autoimmune conditions, or with yeast or mould hypersensitivity. Labels advise against use for more than about four weeks without advice.
Frequently asked questions
Is the pack the same as buying them separately?
Yes: one 10ml bottle of each, at 5% less.
Can I take both on the same day?
Many people do. Ask your practitioner how to space them.
Is Sankombi a stronger version of Albicansan?
