Description
Indications
Cis-aconitic acid is one of the acids of the citric acid cycle and is traditionally associated with a tendency to catch cold easily and a marked sensitivity to wind and to fluctuations in temperature. It is linked with cranial neuralgias, neuralgic toothache and urticarial eczema of the scalp, and with sudden attacks of asthma and of stenocardia (angina-like chest tightness, usually with a racing pulse). It is further connected with nocturnal pains in the bones, including the spinal column, and with Scheuermann's disease of the adolescent spine. As an active factor of the citric acid cycle and the redox systems it is also associated with a weakened defensive capacity. Characteristically the complaints arise suddenly, usually in the evening, and are relieved by dry warmth; frequent changes of mood, irritability and irascibility are typical.
About the remedy
Acidum cis aconiticum-Injeel is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel's antihomotoxic Injeel range, containing potentised Acidum cis-aconiticum (cis-aconitic acid). This carboxylic acid is an intermediate of the citric acid cycle (Krebs cycle), the central pathway by which the cells generate energy and supply hydrogen for biological oxidation. In the antihomotoxic approach it is used as a catalyst to support the enzyme steps of cellular energy metabolism and the redox systems.
Composition
Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Acidum cis-aconiticum D10, D30, D200 — 0.367 ml each.
Part of the Heel range — what to use it with
Cis-aconitic acid is one of Heel's citric-acid-cycle catalysts and is typically used together with the related single remedies stocked here — Acidum citricum-Injeel, Acidum fumaricum-Injeel, Acidum DL-malicum-Injeel, Acidum succinicum-Injeel, Acidum a-ketoglutaricum-Injeel, Baryum oxalsuccinicum-Injeel and Natrium pyruvicum-Injeel. As a constituent it also features in Coenzyme compositum and Ovarium compositum.
Suggested use
Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed. As with all catalyst preparations, it is helpful to drink plenty of fluids during the first three days, to rest from strenuous activity, and to follow a light, low-toxin diet; correct timing is important.
