Description
Indications
Bryonia is traditionally associated with inflammation of all serous membranes — including pleuritis and polyarthritis — and with inflammatory rheumatism marked by violent, stabbing pains. A hallmark of the remedy is that complaints, mainly on the right side, are worse for the slightest movement, for anger and after eating, but are relieved by rest, by firm pressure and by lying on the affected side. It is further linked with enlargement of the liver, with a dry, white-coated tongue and great thirst (characteristically for cold water or beer), and with constipation with dry, dark stools. Its dryness runs through the picture, connecting it with the serous and mucous membranes throughout the body.
About the remedy
Bryonia-Injeel S is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel's antihomotoxic Injeel range, containing potentised Bryonia cretica (white bryony), a climbing plant of the gourd family (Cucurbitaceae). Long established in homeopathy, Bryonia is one of the classic remedies for dry, painful inflammatory states of the serous membranes and joints in which every movement aggravates the complaint.
Composition
Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Bryonia cretica D12, D30, D200, D1000 — 0.275 ml each.
Part of the Heel range — what to use it with
Bryonia is a constituent of several Heel preparations stocked here, including Bryaconeel, Bronchalis-Heel, Atropinum Compositum, Echinacea Compositum, Gripp Heel, Rheuma Heel and Spigelon. It is often called upon for feverish and rheumatic states and for inflammation of the serous membranes.
Suggested use
Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed.
