Indications
Natrium pyruvicum (sodium pyruvate) is traditionally associated with cellular phases of every kind and shows a symptom picture with similarities to sulphur. It is linked with skin complaints such as itching eczema and psoriasis, with bronchial asthma, and with rheumatic and gouty manifestations and organic nervous diseases. It is connected with pre-cancerous states and neoplasm phases, reflecting its role as a catalyst supporting cellular respiration within the citric acid cycle. It is also associated with morning migraines that persist until sundown, accompanied by nausea and feelings of despair, and with the impaired circulation that accompanies diabetes. In injection practice it is used among the intermediary catalysts to help regulate blockaded enzyme functions and, traditionally, for intractable pruritus.
About the remedy
Natrium pyruvicum-Injeel is a single-remedy homeopathic preparation from Heel's antihomotoxic Injeel range, containing potentised Natrium pyruvicum (sodium pyruvate, the sodium salt of pyruvic acid). Pyruvate is a pivotal intermediate of cellular energy metabolism, standing at the gateway to the citric acid cycle where carbohydrate breakdown feeds into cellular respiration. As a catalyst preparation it is used to help reactivate impaired enzyme function and cell respiration.
Composition
Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Natrium pyruvicum D10, D30, D200 — 0.367 ml each.

Among the preparations stocked here Natrium pyruvicum is a constituent of Aesculus compositum, Coenzyme compositum and Solidago compositum. In catalyst therapy it is frequently combined with the other acids of the citric acid cycle and with Para Benzochinon Injeel, Coenzyme compositum and Ubichinon compositum to support cellular respiration.
Suggested use
Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed. As with all catalyst preparations, it is helpful to drink plenty of fluids during the first three days, to rest from strenuous activity, and to follow a light, low-toxin diet; correct timing is important.
