Description
Indications
Tonico is traditionally associated with states of exhaustion of every kind — both physical and psychic — and is used as a restorative tonic for the whole system. Through its combined constituents it is linked with neurasthenia (nervous exhaustion), deficiency of memory and lack of concentration, functional disorders of the liver and loss of appetite, and with vegetative dystonia, osteochondrosis and so-called “manager’s disease.” It is connected with disturbances of mental development in children, including the after-effects of injuries at birth and prenatal or congenital impairment. It is further associated with convalescence and prostration during exhausting infectious illnesses such as pneumonia and polyarthritis, with the constitutional treatment of bronchial asthma, and with the consequences of overwork and the misuse of stimulants such as nicotine, coffee and alcohol. It is traditionally taken to increase mental capacity, for example before examinations.
About the remedy
Tonico-Injeel is a combination homeopathic preparation from Heel’s antihomotoxic Injeel range. Rather than a single remedy it brings together several potentised constituents — Aurum metallicum (gold), Chininum arsenicosum (quinine arsenite), Helonias dioica (stud flower), Hypericum perforatum (St John’s wort), Selenium, Kalium phosphoricum (potassium phosphate) and Nux vomica (poison nut) — chosen for their combined tonic and restorative action in states of exhaustion of body and mind.
Composition
Each 1.1 ml ampoule contains: Aurum metallicum D10, D30, D200 — 1.65 µl each; Chininum arsenicosum D10, D30, Helonias dioica D10, D30, Hypericum perforatum D10, D30, Selenium D10, D30 — 1.1 µl each; Kalium phosphoricum D10, D30 — 2.2 µl each; Nux vomica D10, D30 — 2.75 µl each.
Part of the Heel range — what to use it with
Tonico-Injeel is combined with other Heel preparations according to the presenting picture. For disturbances of mental development in children it is alternated with Neuro-Injeel and Cerebrum suis-Injeel (and may be supported by Cerebrum Compositum); for the constitutional treatment of bronchial asthma with Engystol N and Carbo vegetabilis-Injeel. In conditions of exhaustion it is also used alongside Ginseng-Injeel, Galium-Heel and Hepeel.
Suggested use
Supplied as ampoules of 1.1 ml. The solution may be taken orally or used by injection (i.m., s.c., i.d. or i.v.). A general guideline is the contents of one ampoule 1–3 times weekly; in acute situations it may be used more frequently, or as directed.
