GUNA Lipidic Vitawin C is a food supplement containing Vitamin C and GMO-free Soy phospholipids that helps to keep the body healthy due to the presence of Vitamin C.
Vitamin C is a hydrophilic vitamin characterised by a short plasma half-life.
Taking 3 capsules at different time-points throughout the day, for example with the 3 main meals, helps to improve its bioavailability.
Given its hydrophilic characteristics, Vitamin C possesses certain peculiarities in terms of absorption (bioavailability) and passage through cell membranes.
As a matter of fact, the lipophilic structure of these membranes does not allow an easy transportation of Vitamin C without a high energy expenditure.
Fortunately, this problem can be overcome by adopting special delivery systems.
One such solution is to use phospholipids. These substances possess special chemical and physical properties: in aqueous solutions they spontaneously adopt a particular architecture, to form micellar structures, such as liposomes, that can trap small hydrophilic molecules dispersed in the aqueous medium.
Given the common lipophilic nature of cell membranes and liposomes, due to the fact that they both have a double phospholipid layer, the transit of the content of the liposome (which is also hydrophilic, such as, for example, Vitamin C) is therefore facilitated.

Dosage:
